A MEMORIAL DAY PRAYER
by Richard Walter
12 men assigned to me gave the ultimate. This prayer is for them and all the fallen warriors of past and present wars. Please allow me this moment of grieving.
Oh heavenly God, please give us the strength and understanding for why we have wars. Why the youth of our nation must give their lives to protect our Freedoms. Why countless Families are torn apart, why Wives are turned into Widows. Why Fathers and Mothers must bury their love ones that they bored.
God, please tell me why something such as Freedom has to be protected. Why such a high price for this Freedom. Oh God! Why isn’t this Freedom thing a given. Doesn’t everyone want to be Free.
Why has this country forgotten the values that made us the Greatest Nation in this messed up World. Why are they taking God out of all our great phases, schools, public meetings and air waves.
God! With your blessings and guidance help us bring the greatness back. Help us remember all those that gave so much. Help us appreciate these Freedoms so highly paid for. Help us comfort and heal our wounded veterans.
Let’s say "God Bless America" proudly and with our heads held high. Lets not be afraid to pray in open surroundings. Let’s get back to where majority rules. Let us pray for our young warriors who now volunteer to protect us. God bless their strength and honor.
God please protect our troops world wide. Please let our leaders quit this bickering and get on with governing this great nation. God please help us heal as one and bring our troops home safely.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

Amen.
Thank you for adding this. I can get so upset at times that it is extremely difficult to verbalize well. Thank you too, Richard.
Yes,AMEN!
No need to say thank you Angie,I just wanted to help my friend frost her cake...
I too have a loss of words when I'm emotional over something that have me riled...
You came across with your point very well, no fear there..
I'm glad you added this because it compliments angie's post so well. Each of the posts stand up very well on their own, but together they make one stronger message that there are people who have faced or are facing the ultimate challenge during their life on earth and we should never forget them or let them be forgotten. The best way to remember and to say thank you is to provide for them in a suitable manner for what they have done, preserve what they have fought for and protected, and treat them with the respect they deserve.
Nice Donna! Thank You for the Add..Thumbs Up !!
